Quest for Justice till the last straw Prashant Bhushan and several leading Lawyers of India at the house of CJI of Supreme Court … Possibility of hear of a three juged bench at 2 pm tonight to hold the hanging of Yakoob Memon for 14 days as per the precedent of SC, as is the guidelines of the SC.

The mercy petition of Yakub Memon, facing gallows in the 1993 Mumbai blasts, was rejected on Wednesday by President Pranab Mukherjee after government advised him such a course.

Meanwhile, late in the night, Yakub’s lawyers filed a fresh petition in Supreme Court, arguing that the President could not decide on the mercy plea overnight. It also argued that between the rejection of mercy petition and execution, there should be a 14-day gap. If accepted, a judge will hear the petition at his home.

Feeling proud of our Constitution and Judiciary. Being Indian is a extra proud feeling for me to night. I with conviction always had faith in our judiciary but tonight it is at a level high very high above for me.. the trust of the citizens in Judiicary will reach a new high. And faith in lawyers and our system will be bigger when nation see Prasahnt Bhusan and several other senior lawyers with him are running from pillar to post and the whole SC and CJI and justices respond to the hear a plea in favour of a convict. It is great high for this nation and we are setting new barometer for our nation that at all cost we need to fight for justice and rights of an individual even if it is just a relief as small as 14 days differ or 7 days differ. No stone need to be un turned till the logical and last act in the books of law is not exhusted to demand justice. Adil Moahmmed I am a proud proud person today… thanks for making us feel so India CJI and PB. and all in this historic episode….. of Memon plea… at 2 15 pm. in Sc.

Hearing begins in SC on plea on differing hanging of Memon begins…. The order to either differ the hanging or to proceed should be out with in 30 to 40 minutes.. As time is crucial … Yakoob Memon hanging may be prepound too… as it should be done by 7 am not at 7 am… all in all it is a tense and heavy moments ahead >> I pray the Justice win and it be a just judgement…
