As The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) makes public for the first time minutes of its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting – one of the few consistent demands of founder of AAP Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan – sources said the party might agree to all their demands to put pressure on them to resign. The statement is un placed. Is this a reward or a punishment to give give a corrective advice to uphold the principles of AAP, or a punishment for raising voice in right direction. Larger than the voices of a specific group of the party.
It is understood from print media news Yadav and Bhushan had earlier written an e-mail, which is denied, by both Yadav and Prashant, writing a mail to Kejriwal and few other leaders, indicating that if their demands are met they may step down from all party posts, including membership of National Executive, in the National Council meeting scheduled for March 28. This media news is hit be block both Yogender Yadav and Prashant Bhushan have denied writing such an email.
Media had a specific media run statement “Faction close to Kejriwal may agree to all their demands so as moral pressure is created on them to hold their end of the bargain,” which seems to be falling apart.
The party’s Political Affairs Committee, in a meeting on March 17, had agreed to two demands of the duo about giving volunteers greater voice in decision making and also about expanding the party nationally. These two steps are seen as a great step forward. But with the way the things are happening with in the party their seems to be a severe lack of trust among the top leaders. And all these party soft approach might be coming in view to the up coming NC meeting to be held on 28 th of March 2015.
A very respectable sources with in the party is still sensing both Yogender Yadav and Prashant Bhushan might be asked to resign form all the party posts officially in respect of the letter which they both have denied writing.
On Friday, the minutes of the March 17 PAC were made public, hinting at reconciliation attempts between the two warring factions. The party has put the minutes of the meeting held at Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Kaushambi residence on the party website.
The PAC took the decision that the triumvirate of organisational strength, strength of local leadership and political realities would be judged before deciding when and where elections will be fought by the country, the minutes of the meeting said.
All that is coming in the media is originating from set sources that are very close to Arvind Kejriwal, and the center of power is more selective with not much of a broader consultation.
All possibilities of a truce does seem to be positively working. A sense of typical Indian Political jugglery seems to be making room in AAP that will revolve around Arivind Kejriwal and a selective persons will be inducted with in NC for raising numbers to NC only to gain number control to take all decision seemingly democratic in fact not.
Coming few days specially the 28 th be making the apprehension proved right of wrong. Hoping that AAP will be united and the good ness will prevail.
