NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has an edge over the BJP in the Delhi assembly elections where the Arvind Kejriwal-led party seems to have forged a major support base among Muslims, SC\ST\OBC and lower income group voters, said the latest snap poll conducted by ABP News-Nielsen.
The poll, conducted over two days during January 24-25 in all 70 constituencies with 2,262 respondents, also suggested that the AAP has increased its vote share by 4% as compared to the previous snap poll.
Media is realizing it can not fool the people of Delhi now. It is clear the party with lacs of volunteers and support of people of Delhi has emerged as the only and sole party that is favorite to lead Delhi in Assembly.
The success is of the focused efforts of party leader Arvind and Core team comprising of Yogender Yadav, Prashant Bhushan, Sisodia, Ashotosh and Sanjay Singh, many leaders and lacs of volunteers from across nation camping at Delhi and calling from across nation to request support for AAP and Vote for AAP.
“As compared to the previous snap poll conducted in the second week of January, where 46% intended to vote for Aam Aadmi Party, there is an increase of 4% (from 46% to 50%) for the party. For BJP, there is a decline by 4% in the recent snap poll (from 45% to 41%)”, said ABP News-Nielsen in a statement.
It also said that the entry of Kiran Bedi as chief ministerial candidate was not helping the BJP much to pull in additional voters. “But BJP is the party with higher proportion of committed voters with 84% saying ‘they shall definitely vote for BJP now,'” said the statement. The BJP has messed its opportunities in what ever level it had by bringing in Bedi. The under current of protest and anger among the loyalist of senior leaders in BJP like Upadya is working against BJP too.
Even Obama could not gain a single point for BJP. Some contesting MLAs of BJP even used photo of Obama on their posters. I pitty them..
